Cope Foundation to lead CIAE (Creative Inclusion in Adult Education) event in Brussels.

Friday 14 September 2018

On Tuesday 18th of September a group from Cope Foundation will travel to Brussels to lead a CIAE (Creative Inclusion in Adult Education) event.

The event is organised to discover good practices and opportunities of improvement in arts education for adults with disabilities.

It brings together policy-makers, artists, teachers, cultural centres, service providers and organisations for persons with disabilities.

The UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities outlined that people with disabilities have the right to use their creative, artistic and intellectual potential and to receive appropriate instruction, training and resources to do so.

Amy Begley and John Bransfield from Suisha Inclusive Arts will take part in an open discussion on 'Discovering Promising Practices'

Sean Abbott, Chief Executive of Cope Foundation will open the event in Brussels. Eoin Nash and Paul Sherlock will also moderate and take part in the ‘Discovering Promising Practices’ and ‘Dynamic Debate’ sessions.
