Friday 17 April 2015

Cope Foundation Riverview has been granted full registration by HIQA.

Riverview is home to many elderly people supported by Cope Foundation.

Riverview opened in 1997 and the building was extended in 2005.

30 people can live in Riverview at a time.

Riverview provides a dedicated specialist service for the care of older people.

Riverview promotes the independence of its residents.

High quality care is achieved through a partnership between Riverview and Palliative care services.

Palliative care is a type of support for people with a life limiting illness.

Riverview provides person-centered care for all residents.

Christine Lynch, Person in Charge at Riverview says: “It was a huge team effort that saw us achieve registration with HIQA. This is just the beginning of a new journey for us, and one that can only be successful with the help of the people we support, their families and all the staff. I would like to personally thank everyone involved in the process to date and look forward to their continued support.”

The event was attended by Dara Murphy, TD as well as residents from Riverview, their families and Cope Foundation staff.
