CIT Advocacy Graduation Day 2017

CIT Advocacy Graduation Day 2017

Thursday 23 March 2017

This year there were two graduating classes, “Introduction to Advocacy” and “Advanced Advocacy”.

Both of these courses were run through the partnership between ‪‎Cope Foundation‬ and Cork Institute of Technology (CIT).‬

‪‎Advocacy‬ is very important in the lives of people supported by Cope Foundation. ‬

It is so important for people to know their rights and how to speak up for themselves about what they want.

We would like to thank Dr. Margaret Linehan, Dr. Margaret O’Keeffe and Michelle Kelleher for all of their hard work as well as Dr. Barry O’Connor who presented the certificates. Sean Abbott, CEO Cope Foundation, congratulated the graduates on their amazing achievement and thanked CIT for their continued support. Well done and thank you to Norita Hedigan for her powerful speech which she made on behalf of the graduates. Thank you also to Mary Murphy for her beautiful performance on the harp.
